What a cataltic converter looks like

There has been another spate of catalytic converter thefts in Cirencester.
Three thefts occurred on Crabtree Lane, Chester Street and Chesterton Park between Tuesday, December 17 and Friday, December 20.
Catalytic converters contain valuable metals which can fetch several hundred pounds in scrap.
Drivers are being urged to safeguard their vehicles wherever possible.
Commonly converters are stolen from vehicles parked on the road and offenders will pull up alongside their targeted vehicle before exiting and cutting off the converter with a saw or angle grinder.
How will you know if a theft has occurred? You will notice a loud rumbling sound as soon as the engine is turned on which will get louder as you put your foot on the accelerator.
