A catalytic converter was stolen from a car in Bury St Edmunds.
The theft of the device, designed to control exhaust emissions, from a Toyota Auris Hybrid in Ashwell Road was between 11pm on Tuesday, December 17 and 6am on Wednesday, December 18.
A police spokesman urged residents to be vigilant after a 'small number of thefts' of catalytic converters in West Suffolk targeting Japanese manufactured vehicles mainly Toyota and Honda.
